Our best selling sturdy grey steel garage comes with a 20 year warranty and handles 35 pounds per square feet of snow load and 100 mph winds. This rugged dark grey garage is 12 feet wide and comes in lengths of 10 feet up to 30 feet in 5 foot increments. It is made strong with tough Galvalume steel that's aluminum, zinc and silicone plated for exceptional corrosion resistance.
Do I need a permit?
This depends on your province and local area, but generally anything over 160 sqr ft in Ontario for example requires a permit (our 12' wide x 15' long size would not need a permit), but this varies by province and local area. It comes with a side door at 28" width x 78" tall which can be placed either side of the garage as per manual, but not at the far end. The main roll-up door is 8 feet wide x 7 feet high and side walls are 94 inches high. Note, we can not customize sizes of garages beyond the 5 foot length extensions, these are kits sold only at the sizes listed for sale.

CONCRETE FOUNDATION NOTE:
Manufacturer suggests a minimum concrete slab thickness of 4 inches if no vehicles will be stored on it. If vehicles will be stored on it however, a 6 inch slab thickness is recommended to prevent possibility of cracking. Footings are not required for the perimeter given weight of structure.

- FOUNDATION: It is essential to have a flat foundation prepared before you start. If you do not pack down the gravel level, or pour a proper concrete base, you run the risk of the doors not opening due to "racking" of your garage.
- ASSEMBLY TIME: 2 to 4 people with basic tools (cordless drill and measuring tape, gloves etc) are recommended for measuring the site, and assembly. It could be approximately 16-24 hours starting with a 12x10 size as a rough estimate, but this varies widely by length, experience and how good you are at taking the time to read details in manuals. It's best that you let us know the size you are looking at and we can send you the appropriate manual to review. There are lots of parts, sometimes the pre-drilled holes don't line up! :)
- HIRE INSTALLERS: We do collect a directory of contractors who may be able to help you install your garage in your area. Since we sell hundreds of kits and installer experience will vary across Canada, it is unlikely they have installed your exact kit before, but it is possible.
