The Kootenay steel and wood cantilevered carport or awning gives you freedom to park without extra posts. Great for turnaround areas or car charging stations, this shelter looks electric. With a coverage of 10 feet wide x 16 to 30 feet long (or longer by adding posts), this will protect your vehicle from sun, rain and hail. You can add a recommended 26 gauge galvanized rib roof and a 20 degree slope that snow/ice will slide off nicely. Snow load is estimated at 50 lbs per square foot, and winter support legs at high end of beams can be provided for high snow load areas.

NOTE: Please contact us before ordering for custom sizes, powder coat finish and colour desired. Depending on time of year (Spring/Fall busiest) we need 6 to 10 weeks to produce in Vancouver, Kelowna or Ottawa. We can provide 2D shop drawings, but do not provide engineered stamped plans since this is specific to your local area (you must hire engineer directly if required).

- 2 Steel powdercoated posts & beams angled at 20 degrees slope
- 9' posts (7' above ground) with 12 foot long angled beam 2"x4" at 3/16 HSS
For a 10x16 Kit You Must Supply:
- 26 to 28 gauge steel roofing (Westman Steel or VicWest)
- 2"x6" SPF 16 footers wood (Grade 2) untreated
- 1 1/2" Wood screws (pan head) (250)
- 8 x 3"x 5/8" structural steel bolts with washer/nut per post

Powder coated 2"x4" steel posts may require a 60 cm deep x 30 cm wide x 100 cm long cement foundation reinforced with rebar that will keep them securely anchored. Wood beams compliment the charcoal grey powdercoated beams. We recommend you consult with a local contractor and/or engineer for foundation design/size etc. Easy bolt together assembly means that once you have concrete poured, you will have this carport erected in a day with only two helpers. Your car will be the envy of the neighbourhood.

Custom made in Kelowna, British Columbia, Brampton as well as Ottawa, Ontario, we can also deliver the steel powder coated posts (note quotes on this listing only include powder coated posts). Lead time may average 8 to 12 weeks from the time of order for ordering steel, welding and powdercoating, but this varies by season. Contact us for a delivery quote.
